White Wine

Wine type

White Wine

Italian white wine ranges from great ageworthy whites (Fiano, Verdicchio) to fresh everyday wines: a varietal richness unique in the world.

Caratteristiche del White Wine

Italian white wine is constantly rising in quality. Made from white-skinned grapes, it ranges from structured whites capable of ageing 10-20 years (Fiano di Avellino, Verdicchio di Matelica, Vernaccia di San Gimignano) to fresh, easy-drinking wines (Pinot Grigio, Soave, Vermentino).

Italy's great native white grapes include Fiano, Greco, Falanghina, Verdicchio, Vermentino, Garganega, Arneis, Trebbiano, Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and Carricante.
