Dolcetto is the third red grape of Piedmont. Despite its name (which refers to the sweetness of the berries), it produces DRY wines of a violet colour, fruity, with moderate tannins. Early ripening (September). DOCG: Dogliani, Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba, Dolcetto di Ovada Superiore.
