Falanghina is the most widespread white grape of Campania: it produces fresh, Mediterranean wines, perfect for fish and coastal cuisine.

Characteristics and history

Falanghina is the most widely grown white grape in Campania. There are two biotypes: Falanghina Beneventana (Sannio) and Falanghina Flegrea (Campi Flegrei). It produces fresh wines of a straw colour, with sustained acidity, a profile of green apple, orange blossom and a savoury finish. Versatile and food-friendly.
