Palmaz Vineyards: Wine Submarine

In the United States, as we know, technology is always at the center of attention, even in the world of wine.

Palmaz Vineyards, a cutting-edge winery on Mount George, has decided to use nuclear submarine technology to control the fermentation of its wines.

The technology, better known in the deep-sea world as "sono-densitometry," is called the "Fermentation Intelligence Logic Control System" and analyzes fermentation at the molecular level, providing a series of important data points with extreme precision through the insertion of a probe into stainless steel tanks that measures vibrations ten times per second using a system that analyzes wine density while monitoring the progress of fermentation; software then analyzes the data and – as if we were aboard the Enterprise – projects it onto large screens, at which point Spock intervenes!
