Greco

Greco is one of the oldest Italian grapes of Greek origin: in Campania it produces Greco di Tufo DOCG, a structured, mineral white of character.

Characteristics and history

Greco is a grape of Greek origin (6th-7th century BC) grown in Campania. It is the basis of Greco di Tufo DOCG, produced on the volcanic soils of the Irpinian area of the same name. It produces structured, savoury, mineral wines with a profile of ripe yellow fruit, white flowers, citrus and an almondy finish.
