Caratteristiche del Sweet Wine

Italian sweet wine boasts a thousand-year tradition. Made using different techniques: aromatic grapes with interrupted fermentation (Moscato d'Asti, Brachetto d'Acqui), dried grapes (Passito di Pantelleria, Recioto della Valpolicella, Tuscan Vin Santo) and botrytisation (Picolit, Albana di Romagna).

The main sweet DOCGs: Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG, Moscato d'Asti DOCG, Asti Spumante DOCG, Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG, Caluso Passito DOCG and Albana di Romagna DOCG (Italy's first white DOCG).
