My encounter with wine has roots stretching far back in time. Being an elementary school teacher, the students would tread grapes in the autumn period, to retrace the various stages of the winemaking process.
The interest in wine has always been alive in me, so much so that at the table, on important occasions and celebrations, it has been present in a significant way.
Wine fosters conviviality, brings well-being and joy when consumed in the right measure; in short, it is a beverage with countless qualities.
A dazzling encounter occurred with a Bordeaux-style blend, two magnum bottles of "ORNELLAIA", dated 2005 and 2006. I am not exaggerating in calling that event "dazzling", as I had never tasted such a fine wine, with its refined taste and gentle aroma, to be sipped slowly to catch all the nuances that might otherwise have escaped the palate.
Even after all this time, the memory of the great wine from Bolgheri remains vivid and present; it almost feels as if you are savoring it again, with an indescribable pleasure – a reddish-brown nectar that speaks to that wine of the highest quality, whose name "ORNELLAIA" indicates a product of indisputable value.
