Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is the most important native red grape of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Recognisable by its peduncle (the hard part of the stem) which turns bright red at ripening. It produces structured, tannic wines with a profile of plum, violet and a slight herbaceous note.
